The Official Site of the Northern Whiskey Syndicate
|
The Northern Whiskey Syndicate was formed by Kevin Anderson & Mike Sobieski (Sobie) in the winter of 2004 to write and play original music inspired by the member's various influences that span rock, folk, alt-country, punk & 80's post-punk. The band's sound has been described by the press in various ways, including "Honest heartland rock", "REM on the roadhouse circuit" and "unmistakably American, evoking that trashy saloon-rock aesthetic". Many songs reflect life in the fields, factories and farms surrounding the bands native land, the greater Detroit region, although the themes and words could apply to any workingmans town.
